De Afghanan Story

Our first location opened over 30 years ago in Fremont, California. Since then, we have had the pleasure of opening other locations across the Bay Area and now The Central Valley. De Afghanan has won several awards. We were awarded Small Business of The Year after being featured on The Travel Channel's show, Bizarre Foods. We were also awarded Best Middle Eastern Restaurant in the Bay Area due to our excellent online reviews. All of our locations serve quality authentic cuisine. You can visit us at our sit-down flagship restaurant at 37395 Fremont Blvd. If you're in a rush, grab something to-go from our 37405 Fremont Blvd. Or we welcome you to come sit on our patio and have a cold beer and smoke some hookah with us at our 2712 Naglee Road in Tracy.

  • “Great food, flavorful, and generous portion. I ate the combination and the beef was spicya don delicious. Chicken reminds me of a Tikka style chicken. Recommend a side of yogurt to balance the spicy/pepper flakes in beef. Meal came with bread, fountain drinks a big plus, and nice staff.”

  • “I had the lamb kabob and ice cream for lunch a couple of weeks ago. It was delicious. It was relaxing. I think it was Ravi Shankar music they were playing softly. Very nice family restaurant.”
